Central Florida rounded out its season-opening trip to Kansas on Saturday with a 93-83 loss to host Hutchinson.
Guard Roosevelt Scott continued to impress early in his freshman season, posting 34 points for his second consecutive double-figure scoring night. Fellow freshman Eugene McCrory also reached double figures for the second straight game with 11 points. Sophomore transfer Christian Martinez joined the freshmen in double digits with 13 points.
CF (1-2) now heads back to Florida but remains on the road, swinging through the Tampa Bay area for dates with SCF-Manatee and St. Petersburg on Wednesday and Friday, respectively. The Patriots host Pasco-Hernando in their home opener Saturday at 7:30 pm.
