Central Florida picked up the first victory of its women's basketball season Friday with a 64-42 win over Miami-Dade at Daytona Beach.
Returning sophomore Quinnecia Twine led the Lady Patriots with 16 points. TiChina Mitchell added 14, Najah Chambers 11 and Simone High 10 to join Twine in double figures.
CF (1-1) wraps up its visit to Daytona on Saturday, then hosts its own two-day Shootout on Nov. 18 and 19.
