The launch of the the CF Patriots volleyball team has gone national.CF on Wednesday earned the first NJCAA Top 20 ranking in program history, taking the No. 20 spot in just the third weekly poll released in its inaugural season.
While expanding its growing reputation nationwide, the poll also further establishes CF as a Florida powerhouse. The 17-3 Patriots are joined only by No. 10 Miami-Dade, a perennial NJCAA title contender, among nationally-ranked FCSAA programs.
The Patriots can validate their newfound status with a victory Thursday over defending Mid-Florida Conference champion FSC-Jacksonville. The Stars were ranked 12th in the NJCAA preseason poll, but have since fallen out of the Top 20.
