Central Florida dropped both halves of a Mid-Florida Conference softball doubleheader on Saturday at Lake-Sumter, losing by scores of 1-0 and 9-5.
Arika Fox had 3 hits and a run scored on the day and threw a strong opener, lasting 6 innings while yielding 4 hits and an unearned run. Miranda Anderson hit a 3-run home run to lead the CF offense in the late game. Jandrew Collins, Jessica Lopez and Samantha Sibley had a pair of hits each in the nightcap.
CF (14-35, 2-12 MFC) hosts St. Johns River on Tuesday at 2:30 p.m.
