With the defeat, CF (20-32-1, 9-13 Mid-Florida Conference) will be unable to catch St. Johns River for the MFC's second and final state tournament berth. At 12-8, the Vikings will finish with no more than 12 losses. Lake-Sumter and Daytona State also remain in contention for the playoff spot.
The Patriots' season comes to an end this week with home dates against Santa Fe on Wednesday and SJR on Friday. Each game starts at 3 p.m. at Goodlett Field.
