CF's Bradley Goodson to Play at College of Charleston

Patriots infielder Bradley Goodson will continue his promising career at NCAA Division I program College of Charleston.

A versatile infielder out of Jacksonville Providence, Goodson has distinguished himself as a sure-handed defender and a consistent producer at the plate in his two years as a Patriot, posting a batting average of better than .300 each season.

Charleston finished 44-19 overall and 22-8 in the Southern Conference last year while advancing to the NCAA regional tournament. The Cougars own a 24-15 record in 2011 through Friday.

Goodson is not the first middle infielder to follow the path from CF to CofC, as former Patriots second baseman Jesse Mesa is finishing up his senior year with the Cougars. He joins South Carolina signee Casey Smit as 2011 Patriot sophomores to earn Division I scholarships.
