Central Florida fell to 4-0 in Mid-Florida Conference softball play Tuesday with a pair of losses at St. Johns River, 9-5 and 9-1.
Jessica Lopez had 2 hits and 2 runs, Megan David had 2 hits and a run scored and Brittany Baker blasted a 2-run home run to pace a strong offensive effort in the opener. Samantha Stewart manufactured the Patriots' lone late-game run in the fourth inning, earning a walk, stealing second and third base and crossing the plate on an error.
CF (12-27, 0-4 MFC) looks to get on track Thursday at 2:30 p.m. with a home doubleheader against Daytona State.
