South Florida 12, CF Patriots 11 (Baseball)

Central Florida came out on the wrong end of another high-scoring baseball game on Monday, dropping a 12-11 decision at South Florida.

Casey Smit had a 2-run home run, Scott Schaub went 3-for-5 and Dane Moore added 2 hits and 2 RBI to lead another explosive effort from the CF offense.

Mid-Florida Conference play and its accomanying clean slate arrives Wednesday as the Patriots (6-17-1) visit Seminole. The Raiders visit Ocala on Friday at 3 p.m. to complete the MFC-opening home-and-home series.
