Central Florida split a pair of games against host South Georgia College on Saturday, recovering from an opening 7-5 loss with a 6-4 victory.
Casey Elkins went 2-for-3 with a double and a run scored, while fellow Marion County-bred freshman Scott Schaub went 2-for-3 with an RBI in the opener.
Freshman Nick Arscott hurled a complete-game win in the nightcap, yielding 2 earned runs over 7 innings. Nick Radomski, Casey Smit and Dane Moore had 2 hits apiece to pace the CF offense.
The Patriots (5-12-1) return to the Sunshine State and their home Goodlett Field on Monday, hosting Dundalk at 3 p.m.
