Gainesville native Brian Pace lit up his hometown with a dominant scoring effort off the Patriot bench. The freshman guard scored 21 points, making 7 of 9 shots from the field and 3 of 4 three-point attempts. Slobodan Miljanic joined Pace in double figures with 11 points.

The victory solidifies CF's position atop the Mid-Florida Conference, where the Patriots (21-6, 7-2) enjoy a one-and-a-half game cushion with three games left on its schedule despite two losses in its previous three games. The first-place finisher earns a trip directly to the state tournament, while the remaining teams will be left to navigate a single-elimination playoff to decide the MFC's other postseason representative.

CF hosts defending conference champion Daytona State on Saturday at 8 p.m.
