Freshman sharpshooter Quinnecia Twine hit 5 three-pointers as part of a game-high 18-point effort, while freshman Moniqua Darby posted a 13-point, 11-rebound double-double. Tiara Smith joined Twine and Darby in double figures with 12 points, while Briana Gibson packed the stat sheet with 8 points, 9 rebounds, 3 blocks and 2 steals.

The victory keeps the Lady Patriots (13-9, 3-1 MFC) squarely in contention for the MFC crown and gives them the inside track for one of the MFC's three posteason berths. FSC-Jacksonville fell two games behind CF with the loss, with Hillsborough in the basement of the five-team division.

CF has a three-game week next week, starting with Monday's visit from rival Santa Fe. The Lady Patriots travel to Daytona on Wednesday, then host Hillsborough on Saturday, Jan. 29.
