The Central Florida women's basketball program has added a major piece to its 2010-2011 roster in Tallahassee CC transfer Tyesha Robinson.
Robinson will be eligible to suit up for the Lady Patriots after the holiday break this season.
A 5-9 guard out of Cocoa, Robinson started 27 games for the Lady Eagles in 2009-10, averaging 12.9 points and 3.5 rebounds per game in helping guide TCC to an appearance in the FCCAA State Championship game.
Her strong freshman season at Tallahassee followed a remarkable prep career at Cocoa High School. Robinson averaged 21.5 points and 12 rebounds per game in her senior campaign, earning first-team all-Cape Coast honors while setting the school's career points record at 1,793.
Robinson fits in nicely with the new-look Lady Patriots roster, teaming with incumbent CF sophomores Canvis Scott and Shaunte Forward to bring experience to a freshman-heavy group.

CF Softball Adds Accomplished Local Prep Coach to Staff
Central Florida Patriots softball coach Kerri Ryskamp has filled out her coaching staff, tapping former Forest High School coach Mike Lingle as assistant coach and Joe Furce as volunteer assistant.
A fixture of the local softball scene, Lingle adds a wealth of experience and recruiting connections to the CF program. Ryskamp said Lingle will handle pitchers and catchers while assisting in on-field instruction and practices. Furce, a longtime associate of Lingle's, will serve as bench coach during games and a contributor to practice sessions.
"The three of us together are all on the same page as far as coaching philosophy and team goals," said Ryskamp, a former star player at CF and Mercer entering her fourth season as Patriots head coach. "I think the addition of these two guys is really going to help turn our program around."
Ryskamp, Lingle and Furce have a mix of returning talents and new prospects to work with. The team capped a successful summer recruiting season last week, bringing the roster to 18 as fall workouts approach.
Lingle established Forest as a perennial contender in his seven-year tenure, winning 131 games and two district titles.

(Ratliffe) will help give Missouri some size that they desperately need and he should get plenty of opportunities to rebound and score in Mike Anderson's system.
