Central Florida's softball postseason hopes were damaged on Thursday as the Patriots fell at FSC-Jacksonville by scores of 3-0 and 11-2.
Jessica McClellan hit a solo home run in the first inning of the late game, while Heather Porter scored on a fielder's choice for the other CF run. McClellan, Katie Hayes and Jessica Chewning each had 2 hits on the day.
CF (13-30, 4-14 Mid-Florida Conference) remains in sixth place in the MFC with just six games left in the conference season. The Patriots visit fifth-place Lake-Sumter on Saturday in one of their final chances to close the gap.
