Central Florida lost both halves of its first home Mid-Florida Conference softball doubleheader on Thursday, dropping two games to FSC-Jacksonville by scores of 8-0 and 11-2.
A Jessica Knight solo home run in the nightcap provided the day's offensive highlight for the Patriots, while Jessica Chewning drew a bases-loaded walk for the home team's other run in the late game. Katie Hayes picked up a hit in each game, while Kylie Ondriezek, Megan David, Megan Still, and Erin McMahan added a hit apiece on the day.
The Patriots (9-21, 0-4 MFC) again try for their first conference win on Saturday, hosting Lake-Sumter at 1 p.m.
