Central Florida sophomore ace Matt Gendron has been named
FCCAA Pitcher of the Week on the strength of his no-hit effort against Lake-Sumter on Saturday. From the press release:
Central Florida Community College’s Matt Gendron is this week’s FCCAA Baseball Pitcher of the Week. Gendron, a sophomore from Lakeland, Fla., tossed a nine-inning no-hitter in the Patriots’ Mid-Florida Conference opener against Lake-Sumter on March 6. Gendron allowed only two base runners (BB, HBP) and struck out ten in the 8-0 victory.
