Kyle Bright picked up the win, striking out 6 over 6-plus innings, while Chris Labriola collected his second save of the year. Hunter Smith had 3 hits for the Patriots, Jordan Zech had a home run among his 2 hits and Bradley Goodson, Kenneth Stalls and Dru Jones added 2 hits apiece.
The Patriots (18-8, 3-0) wrap up the home-and-home with SJR on Friday, hosting the Vikings at Goodlett Field at 3 p.m.
