Central Florida's explosive offense posted its second-highest run total of the season on Wednesday in a 17-2 victory at South Florida.

Dru Jones cleared the fences twice and Kenneth Stalls joined him in the home run column as the Patriots improved to 14-8. Kyle Bright picked up the win on the mound.

It was an opportune time to rediscover the mix of potent offense and dominant pitching that staked CF to an 8-0 season-opening streak. Saturday brings a visit to Lake-Sumter for the onset of Mid-Florida Conference play, the 24-game stretch that will determine participants in the FCCAA State Tournament in May.
