The Patriots dropped both halves of their home-opening doubleheader, losing 6-0 in the early game and forcing extra innings in the nightcap before dropping a 12-7, eight-inning decision.
Kylie Ondriezek had a pair of hits in the opener, while Katie Hayes drove in two runs in the late game. Megan Still and Jessica Knight took the pitching losses, respectively.
CF (1-5) has a few days to recover before its next outing, a Thursday visit to Hillsborough. The Patriots’ next home doubleheader is Feb. 16 at 2 p.m. against Florida State College-Manatee.
