Central Florida rounded out a fruitless first day of the St. Petersburg Spring Invitational with a 5-2 loss to Broward.
Jandrew Collins drove in both of CF's runs, with Kelly Ondriezek and Jessica Chewning crossing the plate. Megan Still took the pitching loss for the Patriots.
The Patriots (2-11) conclude their five-game Invitational schedule Sunday, facing Miami-Dade at 9 a.m. and Polk State at 1 p.m.
