Central Florida women's basketball opened its season with a tidy neutral-site victory, beating St. Petersburg 79-63 at the Santa Fe Classic in Gainesville. Sophomore guard Markeshia Grant scored 21 points and added 5 rebounds to pace the Lady Patriots. CF (1-0) plays Palm Beach to wrap up the two-day tournament Saturday.
