Central Florida 86, St. Petersburg 71 (WBB)

The Lady Patriots improved to 5-0 on Saturday with an impressive 86-71 win over St. Petersburg, the second time of the young season they've scored a double-digit win over the Lady Titans.

Sophomore Tyeshia Battles led all scorers with 27 points, while freshman Canvis Scott posted her first collegiate double-double with a 15-point, 13-rebound effort. Markeshia Grant scored 19 and Jamesha Willis 13 to join them in double figures.

The win wrapped up the two-day CFCC Classic, the first of three women's juco tournaments to visit campus before the holiday break. The Lady Patriots host the CFCC Shootout next weekend (Nov. 21-22), then the epic 8-team extravaganza that is the Women's JuCo Shootout on Dec. 4 and 5.
